What We Do

We turn your loved garments into lovable items. Instead of storing sentimental items, we use them to create a pillow or stuffed animal that you can hug anytime you need a cuddle. Some possibilities to use are a family member’s beloved shirt, a baby blanket, a school sweatshirt, or a pet’s favorite blanket. Along with the classic Memory Bear, we can craft Memory Dogs and Cats. We will create something unique and special to you… your own Huggable Memory.

About Us

The name Lavender Spots is inspired by my kitty Sasha, a Lavender Spotted Ocicat. For nineteen years, she was my loving best friend and sewing companion.

My Mom gave me an everlasting gift when she taught me to sew at a young age. Over the years, I have made my high school formal gowns, clothing for myself and others, home décor designs, and countless other items. I volunteer with a local hospice to sew Memory Bears and other projects for people who have lost someone or patients dealing with dementia. I hope to honor my Mom by using this skill to bring happiness to others.
